Michael Sgarbossa was never drafted to the NHL, but that didn't stop the Sharks from signing him as a free agent. After being traded from the Saginaw Spirit to the Sudbury Wolves last season, Sgarbossa exploded with 29 goals and 62 points in 37 games. His offensive and combination of speed, hard shot and the ability to create space earned him the free agent invite to San Jose camp. This year, Sgarbossa has continued his offensive output with a 40 goal, 80 point season as of Monday, Feb 20th. He has also improved his defensive game immensely which should earn him a spot in the AHL next season. Click here to listen to the interview.
