Ontario Hockey League Game Day Preview for Wednesday November 7 2012

Pictured is Daniel Catenacci who leads the Owen Sound Attack with 24 points (11 G, 13 A) and a +11 rating.
He was scoreless in their last game vs. Kitchener but racked up 3 goals and 3 assists in the back to back games vs. the last place Erie Otters last weekend.

 Guelph at Owen Sound

In the only game of the night, the slumping Storm squad visit the #1 team in the OHL.  The Attack are atop the standing with a record of 12-2-1-2 whereas Guelph are close with a record of 11-6-0-1.

Last weekend Owen Sound won handily in back to back games at Erie PA with scores of 6-1 and 6-3. On Sunday they would venture into Kitchener where they would drop a gritty 3-2 overtime decision to the rebounding Rangers.  The Guelph Storm were impressive in their 4-1 home win last Friday night vs. the Oshawa Generals.  They would then travel to Niagara where they would run into the smoking hot Ritchie / Strome / Theoret
line and get blasted 9-4.  Things did not get any better on Sunday when the Knights came into Guelph and handed the spiralling Storm a 3-0 loss.

On Friday, the Attack will visit Brampton and then host the Greyhounds on Saturday night.  The Storm
will host the Sarnia Sting on Thursday night and then venture into the bunker on Saturday night for another go at the Battalion.

Last time these teams met was in early October in Owen Sound.  Both squads would take advantage of their powerplay chances – 4 of the games 6 goals were scored with a defensive player in the penalty box.

My prediction Guelph 3 Owen Sound 4
