Plymouth at Saginaw

Plymouth continues their strong season with 2 wins a row (4-3 OT vs Oshawa and 4-1 vs Sudbury last weekend).  Both victories were at home – and come on the heels of 2 straight losses.  In those 2 weekend games Stefan Noesen scored 4 times and currently leads the team with 69 points. Beau Schmitz leads the team with a +32 rating. Scott Wedgewood has 2 straight wins but only 3 wins total from the 8 games that he has played in this month. Saginaw trails the Whalers by 19 points and 4 spots in the standings. Plymouth has clinched a playoff spot and probably will not be caught by Sarnia in their division (12 point difference).  Saginaw has lost 2 straight games to those same 2 teams that Plymouth defeated last weekend.  They are 5 points behind the Attack and 4 points ahead of the Spits. Josh Shalla just completed a 9 game 19 point scoring streak when he was held scoreless vs. the Generals (last game).  Trocheck has 12 assists this month – Saad leads the team with a +27 rating. Last time these teams tangled (Feb 12) Plymouth was victorious in the shootout.

My prediction Plymouth 5 Saginaw 3
