Sarnia at North Bay: Sarnia is interested in shaking off the stigma of last place and add to their 9 wins this season. The Sting are on a northern swing to start their weekend. Sarnia will stop in for a match against Sudbury tomorrow night and then end their weekend at home on Sunday vs. the loaded Guelph Storm. The North Bay Battalion were involved in consecutive 4-0 games. Once in their favour (Kitchener) and once against (London - loss). When these 2 teams met in Sarnia at the end of September, the Troops were victorious 5-2. In that game both Nick Paul and Anthony DeAngelo had 2 goals each. In this game tonight, look for the Troops to smother the visitors and skate to a 2 goal victory.

Erie at Peterborough: The #1 team in the CHL should not have any problem with the Petes tonight. The Otters have the #1,#2 and #6 leading scorers in the league. One has to travel really deep on the stats sheet to find the Petes’ #1 scorer - Nick Ritchie - at #50 in the league. (last month he had 13 points in his team’s 12 games. ) The Petes travel to Oshawa tomorrow night and are then off until next Thursday night. The Otters will continue eastward for games at Ottawa and Kingston. Look for Erie to continue their winning ways tonight by 3 goals.

Saginaw at Windsor: The Spirit are plodding along in the heart of the Western Conference standings. Last weekend they would drop two consecutive games – the first in overtime and the second vs the top CHL ranked team from the Eastern Conference. Jake Paterson would give up 4 goals on 10 shots in the first frame. The Spirit will travel to Kitchener for a game tomorrow night. They complete their weekend action with a home game on Sunday vs. the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds.

Windsor has started their ‘fire sale’ with the acquisition of Brody Milne and a boatload of draft picks in exchange for their scoring leader Kerby Rychel and D-Man Nick Ebert. They won their last 2 games, and 6 of their last 10 games but that trend will not continue as the team adjusts to their new reality. I predict Saginaw by 1 goal tonight.
