Game of the Week-Review: Wellington Dukes @ Kingston Voyageurs

The Wellington Dukes would make the hop down the 401 to the Invista Centre to take on their arch-rival Kingston Voyageurs in a heated battle, and they wouldn’t disappoint.  The first period would only see one piece of rubber hit the mesh when Steven Deeg would bury one at 17:31.  The Vees would answer back when Adam Brady would connect with Alex Tonge and Brett Seney to tie up the game.  The 3rd period would see the scoring floodgates open up. Wellingtons Erick Delaurentis would take the lead at 2:30, with Trevor Abbot getting the helper.   Brandon O’Quinn would respond with a marker at 12:21 to tie things while 3 minutes later Alex Tonge would pot one to take a 3-2 lead for the Vees.  The Dukes would quickly tie things up when Andrew Mcann would squeak one past Vees tender Alex Brooks-Potts. The game would go to extra time, but neither side could score the game winner. So they went to the shootout and Alex Tonge would be the only scorer, with a silky smooth move that would win it for the Vees. This game was also the debut for former OHL’er Tyson Teichman who joined the Wellington Dukes last week.

Game of the Week-Preview: Trenton GoldenHawks @ Kingston Voyageurs

The Trenton Golden Hawks will travel down to the Gardiner to take on the Kingston Voyageurs in a critical battle for the top spot in the East Division. In a division that can see your team on top on day and then battling from the basement two days later. So getting at least a point for either club will be critical, while getting two points is the focus.
