Each week we look at the draft eligible statistical leaders in various categories in the Ontario Hockey League. We look at skaters eligible for the National Hockey League draft for the first time – except for goaltenders where we include those passed over in previous draft(s)

Robby Fabbri (Guelph) and Nikolay Goldobin (Sarnia) lead the way with 35 goals each although Fabbri has reached the mark in 10 fewer games (remember that 10 game suspension?). They are followed by Michael Dal Colle (Oshawa) with 34. Spencer Watson (Kingston) comes in fourth with 31 while Nick Ritchie (Peterborough) comes next with 30. Sam Bennett (Kingston) and Brendan Perlini (Niagara) come next with 29 and 28 respectively.

All seven of the skaters are in the top 19 in goals scored in the OHL. There are seventeen 30 plus goal scorers in the entire league and Perlini and Bennett are just sitting outside that mark. Ritchie is the only draft eligible player with 30 goals and 100 penalty minutes. Bennett’s next goal and penalty minute will add him to the list and make him the only 80 point – 100 penalty minute draft eligible player.
