Brendan Gaunce has climbed up the leader board steadily and has assumed his rightfull place behind Nail Yakupov in both goals and points. let us first explain that it is only his rightful because of the season long absence of Alex Galchenyuk. Gaunce posted 2 goals and 2 assists in 2 games last week to help his climb while those he has surpassed, by their standards, didn't have the best of weeks offensively.

Jake Dotchin of the Owen Sound Attack has surpassed the injured Slater Koekkoek, who is gone for the season, and onto the leader board for defensemen. Dotchin now has 3 goals and 16 assists. What makes this impressive though, is that he's done it in the same number of games as Koekkoek with 26 games played. In fact, Ottawa's Cody Ceci and Guelph's Matt Finn are the only defensemen averaging more points per game than Dotchin is.

Number one ranked goaltender Malcolm Subban continues to lead all goaltenders in Goals Against Average and in Save Percentage. His GAA jumped over 2.00 after a tough performance last night but it is still tops in the league.
