Week 13 of the Ontario Hockey League season has come to a close and that means it’s time for our three stars for the week that are eligible for the 2014 National Hockey League Draft.

1st Star – Mathew Mancina – Guelph Storm: Mancina started in two games for the Storm and stopped 56 of 56 shots he faced in earning back to back shutouts. On Saturday, the Storm travelled north to Owen Sound where Mancina stopped 35 shots in a 4-0 victory in earning his first shutout of the season. On Sunday, the Storm were home to the high flying Erie Otters. Mancina stopped all 21 shots for the victory. Mancina was named the game’s second star versus Owen Sound while picking up third star honors against Erie.

2nd Star – Brendan Perlini – Niagara Ice Dogs: Perlini scored 3 goals and added 4 assists in three games for the Ice Dogs last week. Perlini scored once on Thursday in a 7-2 loss to the Erie Otters. He followed that up with a goal and two assists on Friday in the Ice Dogs 5-4 overtime win over the Kingston Frontenacs where he was named the games second star. On Saturday, Perlini once again scored once and added two assists as the Ice Dogs beat the Belleville Bulls 5-3, and again was named the games second star.

3rd Star – Robby Fabbri – Guelph Storm: In three games last week, Fabbri scored four goals for the Storm and added an assist. On Friday, he scored once as the Storm went down to defeat to the London Knights by a score of 5-2. On Saturday he scored the first two goals of the game in a 4-0 victory of the Owen Sound Attack in which he was named the game’s first star. He notched the game winner once again on Sunday and added an assist as the Storm beat the Otters 5-0.
