Pictured is Bulls' forward Alan Quine who has 26 points in 16 games since being acquired from the Petes at the trade deadline.

Ottawa at Belleville

This will be the 6th of 8 meetings between these long-time East Division rivals. Belleville has won the 5 previous matchups, by scores of 5-3, 3-2, 3-0, 2-0, and 6-4. Former 67, Tyler Graovac scored once and had an assist in the last game in Ottawa. Daniil Zharkov scored twice in the third period to break up a close game.

The future is where it’s at for Ottawa, as they are 17 points out of a playoff spot with 11 games left to play. 1st draft pick, Dante Salituro has 12 goals and 22 assists in 53 games, and 2nd pick, Jonathan Duchesne is upping his aggressive play, of late, and took on Bulls’ veteran, Joseph Cramarossa, on Feb 10th at  Scotiabank Place. Joseph Blandisi has 15 points in 15 games, since being acquired from the Owen Sound Attack, and is 2nd in team point getting, with 40 points, behind Sean Monahan, who has 65 points. Former Bull, Sergey Kuptsov has 4 goals and 8 assists in the 17 games he has played for Ottawa. Ottawa’s powerplay continues to lead the OHL, operating at 26.6% success rate.

The Bulls have taken over first place in the Eastern Conference with a 3-0 win over the Colts, on Monday afternoon in Belleville. They have won 6 straight, and 9 of their last 10 games. They have given up the fewest number of goals in the OHL (135, or 2.45 goals per game). Tyler Graovac (67s), and Alan Quine (Petes) have been terrific since being acquired at the OHL trade deadline.  Graovac has 10g and 10a in 17 games, and Quine has 6g and 20a in 16 games. With the addition of these players, the Bulls now have 3 lines that can score. Malcolm Subban leads the OHL with a 0.931 save %  and has a 23-9-3 record. Backup, Charlie Graham has a 0.927 save %, and a 12-5 record, with 3 shutouts.

The entire big line for the 67s of Sean Monahan, Joseph Blandisi, and Ryan Van Stralan were all shaken up in their last game, but all returned to play in their 5-3 loss to Brampton. Taylor Fielding has been out of the 67s lineup since January 20th with a lower body injury. Mike Vlajkov is also injured for Ottawa.

The Bulls will be without Niki Petti (upper body), and Jake Cardwell, who will be serving the 7th game of his 10 game suspension.
