What turned out to be an explosive week for Windsor’s Kerby Rychel, Ottawa’s Sean Monahan and Plymouth’s Ryan Hartman with 10, 8 and 8 points respectively, it has made for an interesting race in the final few weeks of the Ontario Hockey League season to see who comes out on top.
Max Domi of the Knights still leads with 68 points although the gap has closed significantly. Rychel is close behind with 66 points followed by Monahan with 62. It should be noted that Monahan has played 10 fewer games than Rychel and 7 fewer than Domi. Hartman and Jimmy Lodge of Saginaw are tied with identical totals with 51 points, both passing London’s Bo Horvat who drops to 6th spot with 48 points.
Rychel leads in the goal scoring department with 32 goals. He’s followed by Domi who has 30 who is followed by Teammate Horvat with 24. Monahan comes in fourth with 23 goals. Horvat however leads in powerplay goals with 15 followed by Rychel with 12. Monahan and Sudbury’s Nicholas Baptiste are tied for third with 10 each.
Charlie Graham of the Belleville Bulls and Jake Smith of the Brampton Battalion lead all goaltenders with an identical 2.56 goals against average. Graham leads with an amazing .924 save percentage. Second place in that department goes to Spencer Martin of the Mississauga Steelheads with a .908 save percentage.
