The Ottawa 67’s Sean Monahan was tagged with a 10 games suspension last week and he may just have enough of a lead to stay close to or on top of the scoring race for first time draft eligible players. That is except for the London Knights Max Domi. Monahan leads with 36 points in 24 games, just one point ahead of Domi’s 35 points in 26 games. Barring something strange happening, when Monahan returns, he’ll be chasing Domi.

However, it’ll be interesting to see if he can hold off the rest of the field. Windsor Spitfires’ Kerby Rychel is in third with 26 points in 26 games. Jason Dickinson of the Guelph Storm comes in fourth with 25 points in 27 games, followed by Sergey Tolchinsky of the Soo Greyhounds with 23 points in 26 games.

The battle for the goal scoring lead is still led by Rychel who has potted 16 goals. He’s followed by Domi with 13 and a tie for third between Monahan and Dickinson with 12 a piece. Rychel also leads in powerplay goals with 8, followed next by Monahan with 6. Tolchinsky and Dickinson are tied in third with Bo Horvat of the London Knights with 5 each.

Monahan is still the leader in assists with 24. Domi trails by only two assists. Defenseman Chris Bigras of the Owen Sound Attack is in third with 17 followed by Ryan Kujawinski of the Kingston Frontenacs and Dominik Kahun of the Sudbury Wolves with 15 a piece. Monahan also leads in powerplay assists with 12, followed by Bigras with 8 and Domi with 7.

Jordan Subban of the Belleville Bulls leads all OHL shooters in the shootout with a perfect 4 goals on 4 attempts. Three other players are perfect on our list but at a goal on one attempt.

This week, we’ve added a new category: Penalty minutes. Ryan Hartman of the Plymouth Whalers tops the list with 64 minutes in 23 games played. Brody Silk of the Sudbury Wolves follows with 58 minutes in 27 games. In third is Nurse with 57 minutes in 26 games. Mack Lemmon of the Niagara Ice Dogs is in fourth with 53 minutes in 23 games. Joshua Chapman of the Sarnia Sting rounds out the top five with 43 minutes in 23 games.
