This is the third to last installment of the Ontario Hockey League’s draft eligible 3 stars of the week before the season ends and we announce the 3 stars for the season. It’s a tight race and last week just makes it a little tighter at the top.

So here are the 3 stars for the week ending March 3, 2013.

1st Star – Max Domi – London Knights: Domi scored 4 goals and 3 assists and was a plus 5 in three games for the Knights last week. He opened the week scoring once in London’s 5-2 win over the Windsor Spitfires.  He added another goal and an assist in 1 4-3 shootout win over the Sarnia Sting while being named the second star of the game.  The week ended with first star honors after scoring twice and adding two assists in a 6-1 win over the Kitchener Rangers and taking over the London Knights scoring lead.

2nd Star – Sergey Tolchinsky – Soo Greyhounds: Tolchinsky scored 3 goals and added 2 assists in three games for the Greyhounds last week. It started with a 2 goal performance – with another in the shootout – in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Sudbury Wolves and the games third star. A 2 assist effort wasn’t enough as the Greyhounds dropped a 6-3 decision to the Guelph Storm.  Third star honors were once again his in a 4-0 win over the Peterborough Petes after adding a goal in that contest.

3rd Star = Dominik Kubalik = Sudbury Wolves: With 2 goals and 2 assists in three games, Kubalik is our third star of the week. He scored once in the 5-4 win over the Greyhounds.
