It’s Tuesday morning and that means it’s time for the 2013 NHL Draft eligible 3 stars from last week’s Ontario Hockey League action.

1st Star – Hunter Garlent – Guelph Storm: Garlent, along with his Storm teammates had an offensive outburst last week. In 3 games, Garlent posted 3 goals and added 5 assists and was a plus 3. The week began with a 6-3 victory at home against the Sarnia Sting where Garlent contributed a goal and an assist. Then came a trip to Saginaw where the Storm defeated the Spirit 8-5 with the help of a goal and 3 assists by Garlent, who was named the game’s first star. He closed out the week with a goal and an assist in a 7-1 victory over the Soo Greyhounds and third star honours for his efforts. On Monday he was named OHL Player of the Week.

2nd Star – Jason Dickinson – Guelph Storm: Dickinson didn’t have the same offensive output as his teammate Hunter Garlent, but he was no slouch in his own right. He posted 2 goals and 4 assists and was a plus 5 in those same contests. He had a goal and an assist versus Sarnia en route to being named the games third star. Then came a goal and 2 assist effort against Saginaw followed by a lone assist in the win against The Soo.

Third Star – Jordan Subban – Belleville Bulls: Subban had 2 goals and an assist in two games for the Bulls and moving himself to the top in goals, assists and points among draft eligible players. He started with a goal and an assist in Belleville’s 5-3 win over the Soo Greyhounds, including the helper on the game winner. That was followed by a power play goal to bring Belleville back into the game against Sudbury, but it wasn’t enough as the Wolves won 3-2.
