After a one week hiatus in order that we could do our OHL's Top 20 Draft Rankings , we return this week with our regular Monday feature looking at the Draft Eligible statistical leaders from the Ontario Hockey League.
We’ve added a couple of more categories that you’ve been looking for: Shootout Leaders, Powerplay Goal Leaders and Powerplay Assist Leaders.
A couple of weeks ago it looked as though Jordan Subban and Darnell Nurse were putting a gap between themselves and the rest of the eligible defensemen. But look no further, Owen Sound Attack’s Chris Bigras has not only narrowed the gap but has pulled even with Subban and Nurse at 15 points apiece. Both Nurse and Subban have 4 goals and 11 assists while Bigras has 1 goal and 14 assists.
Bigras also remained on top of the plus/minus category with a plus 14 just ahead of two London Knights: Nikita Zadorov and Max Domi at plus 12. Bigras is second on our newest category, powerplay assists, with 7, four behind the leader Sean Monahan of the Ottawa 67’s.
Speaking of Monahan, he’s starting to pile up points and leads the list in total points with 32 points, 6 more than second place Domi. Monahan also leads in assists with 22, second in goals with 10, just two behind Kerby Rychel of the Windsor Spitfires and tied for tops in powerplay goals with 6.
